Nominator's project description
| Professor Kalidindi is well known internationally for his outstanding research in the mechanics of complex materials. He has made important contributions to introducing constitutive laws for complex metallic alloys into anisotropic finite element methods. His recent work in computational materials science and quantitative microstructure-properties representation is likely to have an impact in materials sciences for decades to come. During his stay in Germany, Professor Kalidindi focuses on enabling spectral microstructure characterization methods for developing advanced inverse material property prediction tools. |
